It seeks to promote a just, safe, inclusive and placed-based resilience approach, anchored in a series of interlinked activities.

Goals

• To inform and train policymakers, civil servants, professionals, and groups of citizens on the complex interactions between climate and the city (composition, structure), as evidence-based knowledge for decisions, actions, and change of behaviors.
• To build a climate vulnerability/hazards characterization of the different zones of the cities by collecting open-source data, national and regional meteorological services, observatories, and any other reliable source.
• To define action plans for implementing NbS though the engagement of citizens and stakeholders (supported by experts), to improve the interaction between climate and cities, and hence reduce the risks for people, infrastructures and structures.
• To review the public work plans, approved or under preparation in the cities concerned, against criteria prioritizing Nature-based Solutions, instead of grey infrastructures, to enhance resilience to climate change.
