DescriptionThe latest round of United Nations climate negotiations concluded in Bonn, Germany, after ten days of technical discussions focused on advancing the implementation of the Paris Agreement and preparing the ground for the 31st UN Climate Change Conference (COP31), which will take place in Türkiye later this year. Representatives from nearly 200 countries participated in the annual mid-year climate conference, working to translate previous international climate commitments into concrete action while identifying areas requiring further progress before COP31. Throughout the negotiations, the European Union worked closely with international partners to strengthen implementation of existing commitments, advance global climate cooperation and reinforce confidence in the multilateral climate process.
