| Description | The European Commission has welcomed the adoption of strengthened regulations to limit the use of fluorinated gases (F-gases) and ozone-depleting substances (ODS), marking another critical milestone in the EU’s journey toward climate neutrality by 2050. The new rules, finalized on January 29, 2024, are set to eliminate over 500 million tonnes of CO2-equivalent emissions by 2050, a reduction comparable to the combined annual emissions of France and Belgium. |
