According to the report, at least 95% of Europe experienced above-average temperatures during 2025, accompanied by more frequent heatwaves, record-breaking sea temperatures, declining snow and ice cover, and increasingly severe droughts and wildfires.
The findings are consistent with the European Climate Risk Assessment (EUCRA), published in 2024, which identified Europe as the fastest-warming continent and warned of escalating climate-related risks to ecosystems, infrastructure, public health and economic activity. |
