| Description | M100 is a national project through which Romania coordinates its efforts to achieve the climate neutrality targets set at the European level.
Recognizing the central role of urban areas in achieving climate neutrality by 2050, M100 will support the development within cities of decarbonization strategies for energy, transportation, buildings, industry, and agriculture.
M100 serves as a promising example for the wider Danube region to follow in aligning with the EU Mission on Adaptation to Climate Change. Through inter-ministerial collaboration and innovative governance models, M100 demonstrates how Danube countries can adopt similar strategies to build resilience, access funding, and develop pathways toward climate neutrality, contributing to the mission’s broader objectives of regional adaptation and resilience. In line with the Communication on Managing Climate Risks, through M100, Romania mitigates the risk ownership in governance processes, as it is coordinated at inter-ministerial level. |
