| Description | The city of Košice is developing an advanced energy management platform to improve monitoring, analysis, and decision-making regarding municipal energy consumption. The project will map all city metering devices and assess the range of data they can provide, including remote monitoring capabilities. This enables accurate, real-time tracking of different types of energy use, automatic data collection, and targeted recommendations for energy-saving measures tailored specifically to Košice.
Accessible via a web interface, the platform provides a centralized overview of plants, tenants, and consumption points, along with meter passports (photos, technical documentation), monthly invoice analysis, BI analytical tools, and the ability to import/export data. It also allows manual entry of readings through both the platform and a dedicated mobile app (Android, iOS). Key functions include visualization and cost analysis of invoices, as well as management of energy consumption data.
Aligned with Košice’s Sustainable Urban Development Strategy, the project introduces a new governance model for energy efficiency and emissions reduction in municipal buildings. Beyond local benefits, it addresses the urgent challenge of modernization debt common in many cities of the wider Danube region, providing a scalable example of how digital energy platforms can strengthen strategic planning, cut costs, and accelerate the green transition. |
